LETTERS WANTED: Burnie Post Office assistant manager, Judy McCulloch has everything ready for children to send letters to the North Pole. Picture: Stuart Wilson.

He is busily awaiting letters from all the good boys and girls on the North-West Coast so he can instruct his elves on what to make this Christmas.

Santa has asked Coastal children to get creative and write down their wishes.

To make sure the letters arrive at the North Pole on time, Australia Post has teamed up with The Advocate to fast track letters north.

It’s important letters are submitted as quickly as possible for Santa to read over them.

In each letter, youngsters are encouraged to put their name, age, say if they have been good this year and what they would like for Christmas.

Santa has also asked for children to write their address on the back of their letter so he can reply.

The Advocate will publish letters up until Christmas.

Letters, with a return address, need to be addressed to PO BOX 2512, Burnie, so they can be fast-tracked to the North Pole. These can be placed in the special post box at the Burnie Post Office in Wilson Street, The Advocate offices in Mount Street, Burnie, or Best Street, Devonport, or in any normal post box with the address.
