TWO Border Catholic schools will be stopping work on Monday morning but it is expected to have minimal impact on students.

The meeting, organised by NSW Independent Education Union, will be held between 8.30am and 9.30am at the Commercial Club.

Holy Spirit School teacher and NSW ACT Independent Education Union Riverina branch vice-president Simon Goss said classes at the Lavington school would run as normal.

The first lesson at Xavier High School will be disrupted but students are still encouraged to attend school during the stop work meeting as there will be adequate supervision.

St Patrick’s Parish School will not be participating.

This follows a stop work meeting that was held in July and Mr Goss said it was to fight against changes to the enterprise agreement, proposed by the Catholic Commission for Employment Relations.
